I already do volunteer teaching via http://www.virtualhomeschoolgroup.com/ . I teach 1st grade phonics and math courses. I also teach the high school literary analysis, composition, algebra, and chemistry courses. All these courses meet for instruction in an online classroom, Elluminate Academic Edition. I also use our Moodle site for instruction outside of the live, online classroom.
- For those willing to volunteer: What expertise do you have to offer?
- I teach using an online classroom and can teach/tutor/speak on digital portraiture, phonics/reading, math, composition, and chemsitry. I can also help teachers that would like to learn more about teaching using online Moodle (learner management system) and Elluminate (online, live classroom).
The online classroom has full duplex audio, a whiteboard system, applications sharing, webcam, etc. I use it to give content, demonstrate techniques right in the digital software, and can even turn the controls over to students to let them try their hand at a technique. I have unlimited seating in the online classroom and it can be accessed via a weblink that I will provide. Just use the weblink at the designated time and the student's computers will be brought into the online classroom. The first access on a computer may need time to download Java updates to plan accordingly and sign in about 10 minutes early the very first time per system.

- Experienced in using Moodle and Elluminate. Award winning portrait artist.
- What technology to you have access to? ie. Webcams, Skype, Video conferencing, e-mail, MSN etc.
- Elluminate Academic Version online classroom, Moodle, webcam.
